Either fill out our online booking form, or, if you would prefer to send in your application by post please Click here to download the Application Form in MS Word Format.
When we receive your booking form we will send you a confirmation letter with a map to the venue, or a reserve letter for courses that are already full. Please book early to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited and they are allocated on a first come, first served basis. If a course is full we will put you on the waiting list in case of cancellations.
Sometimes courses do fill up quickly. If you want to check availability before completing a booking form, please call us.

MARCH 2010

Is your group/organisation in shape to survive? This session covers many aspects of governance and funding. It will give you an understanding of all that is needed to build a robust and sustainable organisation that can deliver according to its 'objects'. By the end of the session you will have a clear view of where your organisation stands at the present moment and have acquired the skills to strengthen and take it forward with confidence. Ideal for managers and trustees!

This course is aimed at those who are looking to apply for funding in the future and want to improve their effectiveness in preparing and submitting applications. This course works well with the Introduction to Sustainable Funding course.

Aimed at participants who are new to working with volunteers or who would like an opportunity to review their practice in respect to diversity, this one day course will look at how you can value and increase diversity in your volunteer programme.
*Course with additional funding to further subsidise places for voluntary sector delegates. Lunch also included.

This course will take you through the principles of budgeting using Excel so that you can develop and adjust your budget and use it to plan and manage costs and prices when developing funding bids or projects.

This one day session will help develop the skills needed for effective committees and will examine the importance of the role of the Chair. Topics will include identifying ways to match skills to committee roles and preparing effectively for meetings.

This one day course will help you maximise the benefits to your organisation of using volunteers and to ensure you maximise the benefits to the volunteers, so you become a successful volunteering organisation.

This practical half-day workshop looks at all aspects of minute taking from preparing before a meeting through to the production of both formal and informal minutes.

- are new and need to decide how to market themselves
- have been trading for some time but without a clear brand
- want to expand their services and realise the new offering is no longer reflected in their original identity.

This course is ideal for the smaller workplace, presenting few health and safety risks. The appointed person will be able to take charge in case of illness or accident. A certificate of attendance will be issued which remains valid for three years. There is a strong recommendation from the Health and Safety Executive to do an annual refresher.

Are you looking at contracts or simply negotiating with colleagues? This course aims to equip participants with the practical skills, tools, understanding and confidence to be highly effective negotiators. By the end of this training session delegates will be able to: use behavioural patterns that research has found to be associated with highly effective negotiators, use specific negotiation tools and techniques, know how to get over specific negotiating problems

This training course will enable interviewers to conduct interviews which really identify the skills and abilities of interviewees and their suitability for the job. This participative session will provide interviewers with practical tips, techniques and experience to make enable them to reach successful recruitment decisions.
Who should attend:
The course is for individuals with responsibility for recruitment or who are involved in recruitment interviewing.
As a result of the workshop, you will:
- structure interviews to obtain the information needed to judge a candidate's capability
- use practical techniques in questioning and listening to ask the right questions and to understand what the candidate is really saying
- understand and use body language skills in interviewing
- understand the main 'Dos' and Don'ts' of employment legislation in the context of interviewing.
